Alex Song-Xia is a writer, actor, and comedian based in Los Angeles.
They have written for TV shows including Rick and Morty (Adult Swim), The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC), Night of Too Many Stars (HBO), Praise Petey (Freeform), Little Demon (FX), Exploding Kittens (Netflix), It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart (Jax Media/truTV), a Jumanji animated series (Sony/Netflix), and more, and currently have projects in development with Dreamworks.
As an actor, Alex can be seen in The Week Of (Netflix), High Maintenance (HBO), Helpsters (Apple TV), Dimension 20 and Very Important People (Dropout), and a whole bunch of short films – including Really Good Driver, their directorial debut. Their recent theatre acting credits include Ojai Playwrights Conference, Public Assembly, Celebration Theatre, and The Joy Who Lived, and they were an inaugural member of Skylight Theatre’s OPEN SKY Playwrights Club as a writer.
Alex regularly improvises at the UCB Theatre and was a featured stand-up for Netflix is a Joke: Introducing.
